Garry Hinton to fight College Ward in May 2007 local elections

Garry Hinton, Liberal Democrat Candidate in the College Ward by-election.

Garry Hinton fought the College Ward by-election for the Liberal Democrats. He will represent the Liberal Democrats in College Ward in the 2007 local elections. Garry has lived in Fife Road, in College Ward, for over twenty years. He is well-known in the Ward, and has campaigned on many local issues on behalf of local residents. Garry is the editor of College Ward Focus - keeping local residents informed about issues in the ward. He has campaigned against over-development in the ward, including the fight to preserve "Chesterfields".

Garry's children went to Abbey School, Hummersknot and QE 6th Form College. Garry is finance manager for a national blue-chip company and has used his financial expertise to study the Council's spending plans. He will continue to use these skills to scrutinise Council expenditure to ensure that local residents get value for money for their Council Tax.
