County Council Candidates announced

Aycliffe Liberal Democrats, part of Darlington and Sedgefield Liberal Democrats, have announced the six candidates who will represent the Party in the County Council elections on May 1st.

AYCLIFFE LIBERAL DEMOCRATS are determined to give the people of Newton Aycliffe and district a VOICE in local government. Their immediate task is to ensure that Aycliffe gets a fair deal with the new Durham County Unitary Council to be elected on 1st May this year. Sedgefield Council will be abolished, along with Durham County Council and the other six district councils in the county.

Aycliffe Liberal Democrats have six candidates for the six seats to be elected to the new Durham County Unitary Council. There are to be two councillors for each of the three Aycliffe Wards: North, East and West. The Lib Dem candidates are: Andrea Bergg, Chris Foote-Wood (Aycliffe North), Derek Jago, Paul Thomas (Aycliffe East), Michael Anderson and Janine Mawson (Aycliffe West).
