Solution to Harrowgate Hill Primary School Back Lane problems?

8.00.00pm GMT Mon 28th Dec 2009

After several years of campaigning by Lib Dem Councillors in North Road ward, we are near to finding a solution to the problems of congestion and danger to children in the back road serving Harrowgate Hill Primary School. A new parking area and a school-access gate will be built in North Park behind Longfield Road flats, though the exact location has yet to be decided.

The school side of the back road will be a no parking area during school drop-off and pick-up times. Another outstanding issue yet to be decided is whether the back road becomes a one way system.

To help the Council finalise these plans, local residents will have the opportunity to comment on the proposals.

Mike, Fred and Anne-Marie will make sure that residents and parents are informed of further developments.
